Abstract

Theater is the most obvious form of postmodern rejection of modernity. It also can be found on the Indonesian postmodern theater, especially through pastiche aesthetic idiom, parody, kitsch, camp, and schizophrenia which reveal and deconstruct the previous art of theater modern as well as the modernity itself. The purpose of this paper is to show how deconstructionist idiom occurs on the “Jalan Lurus” which can be viewed as one of Indonesian postmodern theaters
